Any cool custom lightning components out there for chatter groups? I'm hoping to do more w/ groups in lightning, and seeing if i can use them as a lightweight app.
I'm not loving the treatment of the 'information' section in lightning, where its a 'show more' link after 9 lines. We use groups for internal projects, and the information section is the most customizable part of the group, and lets you include a lot of useful info and links. I want it featured.
On the other hand, i'm also trying out custom apps for specific teams, and so far its looking good, but i need a chatter feed component that lets me filter to a specific group feed only. Anyone found anything like that? Otherwise I think that might be my first go at building a component.
Hi @Gorav Seth I haven't seen any custom components yet but it does not mean that the user or partner community has not created any yet. Keep in mind, if you drag Group Details into a section that spans across the page, you may see more of the description.
I've got my own set of ideas on nice to have components that I would love to see but I haven't invested the time to build them (need is not great enough). Here's my list of interesting:
A rotating carousel or tile component to show groups vs. a list.
A separate tab or area for images/albums. I think of facebook as inspiration here. This would be interesting useful for communities too.
An events component that tracks an event, interesting parties, attendance.
