SO . . .there I was championing SF Files Sync and we turned on sharing with libraries but now the user can not make updates to his shared files on his desktop without saving "a copy".  Yikes.  I tried to back the files out of the share with the library and discovered "no can do" BUMMER.  I can only archive or delete once it's held hostage in the library.   Am I missing something here?  Love the collaborative File Sharing but thought I was being clever using a library as a common repository.   Suggestions, Thoughts?

That's correct: once a file is shared with a library it cannot be updated from the desktop anymore. To highlight this, we display the following warning dialog when you try to share an existing file with a library from Classic: "Once this file is shared with a library, access to edit the file will be determined by library permissions. Collaborators and those who have synced the file will now have only Viewer access. Permission to edit the file can be given by a library administrator. Do you want to continue?".

Let me ping the engineering team to understand where this limitation is coming from.
