Discover Learning Paths and Capstones

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain different career paths in the Salesforce Ecosystem, including Salesforce Associate, Sales Representative, and Marketing Associate.
  • Make your own trailmix on Trailhead to engage your learners.

Career Paths for Learners

Trailhead includes learning connected to career paths, so anyone can find their entry point to the Salesforce Ecosystem. Each path has an associated trail of modules that lead to certification. Some trails also have associated superbadges, which can serve as hands-on, low-guidance capstone projects. As available, superbadges that align the closest with the learning path’s certification are available in the resources section.

Salesforce Associate

A Salesforce Associate is an individual who has a fundamental awareness of how an integrated CRM platform solves the challenge of connecting departments and customer data. They may have up to six months of Salesforce user experience. They understand reporting, user administration, sharing, customization, or data management at a foundational level. Your learners can prepare for their Salesforce Associate Certification using these associated modules on Trailhead.

Sales Representative

A Salesforce Sales Representative has a broad knowledge of the sales process and is proficient in planning, customer and prospect research, deal management, pipeline management, forecasting, and closing deals with value. They have a detailed understanding of their customers, putting them at the center with commitment to their success, leading with empathy. Your learners can prepare for their Salesforce Sales Representative Certification using these associated modules on Trailhead.

Marketing Associate

A Salesforce Marketing Associate is an individual who’s interested in a career in marketing within the Salesforce ecosystem. They are familiar with the Salesforce platform and may have up to 6 months of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement. Your learners can prepare for their Salesforce Marketing Associate Certification using these associated modules on Trailhead.
