    I spent some time on this yesterday with one of the dev's at Tableau and need to rethink the approach - the boolean used as a trigger to show or hide the view has to be an absolute at the view level ( Huh? that is where the conversation started) - what is happening in your example is that this [Profit Visable]="TRUE" does return a TF but it is dependent on the user id (or email) -

    as an example of what would be an absolute I added an email parameter and then this Fixed expression

    this { FIXED : min( [Email]=[Email Parameter] and [Profit Visable] = "True")}

    and it can be used as a boolean trigger (Note - it does not solve your problem - only an example of what works v what does not)

    I spent some time on this yesterday with one of the dev's at Tableau and need to rethink the approach - the boolean used as a trigger to show or hide the view has to be an absolute at the view level (see the red tab

    so is it possible to rethink the strategy on how to check against the Username? something else that will meet your need?

    Thanks
