What would the validation rule be for the following scenario?
Here are following fields involved.
- Expiration Date - this is a date that is inputted
- Status of Exception - this is a picklist value, and contains "Approved or Expired"
What I want to happen is as follows:
If today's date is equal or greater than the field "Expiration Date", then automatically change the Picklist field "Status of Exception" to Expired.

I am a part-time Salesforce Administrator consultant, and don’t have all of the knowledge to all of the great tools that Salesforce offers. So, I really appreciate all of the steps laid out.
I will try it out, but am getting ready to go on vacation, so I may not be able to start/finish until I return in a week.
