customize the users available to approve a reocord in Approval Process

Hi 

I have a scenario here, I have different levels of approvers and I want each of the submitters to manually select the approvers. First when Submite A submits the record for approval, he should be able to pick a designated user as an approver B(for eg), but I dont want user A to see all the available users , as there are so amny of them, Is there any way I can customize the drop down of users what user A can select from? When he selct a certain user in first approval, if that user B approves it, B should again be able to select approver C manually like the same process as before.

Please help

    No that drop down cannot be customised.

    Below are few things you can try :

    • If you want a selected users to be shown to a user, you can implement the sharing on user (for user A share only the relevant users to him/her), implementing the sharing rule on user may customize the users showing up in the lookup.
    • Create a user lookup on your object, make it a filter lookup and use this lookup field in your approval process for selecting the next approver.
