Hello, fellow Trailblazers. I’m a brand new admin at a nonprofit. We are considering moving from using Classy to Elevate to bring donations into our org. I am looking for anyone who has insight into how well Elevate works, what its pain points are, how difficult it is to implement, and the amount of risk of issues regarding recurring donations. We know if something breaks here, there will be a percentage of recurring donors that we will lose permanently. We definitely want to avoid that! I would appreciate hearing about any experience anyone has on Elevate. Thanks in advance!
I have clients who use Classy and clients who use the free version of Elevate. Both are great. Both integrate with Salesforce with minimal syncing issues. Classy has more capabilities but the cost can be prohibitive for small nonprofits. The free version of Elevate is very effective and integrates nicely with Salesforce as it is a Salesforce product. If you are already using Classy, why not just use the Salesforce-Classy integration. It will bring your Classy opportunities and campaigns directly into Salesforce. It will look for matching contacts and sync to them. If there is no match, new contacts will be created in Salesforce for these new donors. Classy also allows donors to login directly and manage their giving. I don't believe Elevate has this capability which means donors have to call you to manage their giving (ie modify or discontinue a recurring gift).
Whatever you decide, I think you will be pleased with your choice. Two very good products.
