Good morning / afternoon everyone! The NPSP docs team is pleased to share that we have four brand new import templates available for use. The new templates are:
- Accounts and Contact Import
- Donation Import (Individuals)
- Donation Import (Organizations)
- Recurring Donations Import (Enhanced RDs only)

In the past, we had one large template with columns in it for all the above use cases (and more). This was getting unwieldy, so we decided to break the big one down into smaller, more focused templates. Please share your feedback about the new templates here, or by using the feedback widget in the documentation article itself. Enjoy!
Hi @Sam Knox - this is my first time uploading a bunch of Recurring Donations into a clients NPSP org, trying to use the new templates and it's not going smoothly. I've upgraded the Sandbox to ERD first, cleansed the data - all looks OK.
However, when I come to use the template with the Data Import Wizard, I have real issues with the mapping eg the template breaks a name down into Contact1 First Name & Last Name - the mapping only offers up "Contact" and it can only be used once. A number of other fields that need mapping are also not available in the Data Import Wizard drop down.
I found another Community answer that explained some of the Recurring Donation (Type, Period etc) fields were not default R/W on the Sys Admin Profile (why...?) - which I changed and that helped a bit, but I still can't map many of the fields in the Data Import wizard, meaning the imports fail. I assumed that if the field was in the template, it would align with the rest of the process.
What am I missing?
