Soft Credits rolled up to HH?

Is there any way to get the Soft Credit fields rolled up from Contact to the HH Account of the Contact? The only way I can think of is to use Rollup Helper, but it seems like there should be some built-in way to do this in NPSP.

The use case is a report of gifts from all Accounts - both HHs and orgs - that includes both hard and soft credit totals. Could be done with a report of Opps, but the NPSP rollup fields are easier to understand for nfp staff than dealing with Contact Roles.
