Sorry I've gone through the search and seen similar question but I don't fully understanding the answers.
I have a user set up that we use to integrate with services like FormAssembly or Zapier that require user to sign into Salesforce to connect the service. For example with FormAssembly when you set up the connectors with Salesforce you sign in with in FormAssembly (e.g. your in FormAssembly and you select to connect and it opens pop up to sign in to Salesforce) and then one someone completes the form the connects create the records in Salesforce and the created by user is the one you signed in with. I gave it a basic profile and access to relevant fields and objects for it to connect with these services.
So I get that when I sign into Salesforce even when in FormAssembly I will be prompted by MFA what I don't get is how to confirm that the user will still be useable by FormAssembly to connect when form is submitted.
I've seen reference to API/Integration users won't be asked for MFA (in the FAQ guide) so is that just referring to any user name used by service like FormAssembly when its connecting in the back ground e.g. when form is submitted, or is there a specific profile set up option that the user has to be for the user to be recognised as an API/Integration user and therefore excluded from MFA by Salesforce?

Hi Rahul, in other words, once this is authenticated, MFA shouldn't change the way they login to formassembly? I guess the question here is not the matter of the provision of the security token, but rather how the setup is going to be since the formassembly is an integration, and in MFA FAQs, API users and integration users are not required to use MFA. But on this scenario, will they still be considered as integration/API users? or will they require MFA when logging into formassembly going to salesforce?
But I received an answer from formassembly team, from what they mentioned there shouldn't be any changes. It will still be the same process for logging in, however they mentioned that their product team will check further. I guess there's still no answer yet whether its considered as an API/Integration user when you login or connect via formassembly.
