value not of required type:

Hi All,

 

I have created a flow but i keep getting an error (Below)

 

Error element Create_New_Gender_Marker_Rec (FlowRecordCreate).

 

This error occurred when the flow tried to create records: INVALID_TYPE_ON_FIELD_IN_RECORD: No Potential: value not of required type: . You can look up ExceptionCode values in the SOAP API Developer Guide.

 

This is just a checkbox which i have in the flow and on the page layout?  How can it not be of the required type?

    If anyone is still battling with this you just need to set the default value on your boolean variable to what the value is on the current record triggering your flow. If you have no default value and your flow does not populate that variable during the running of your flow, your flow will insert a NULL value into that variable and this is what causes the issue when trying to update a field outside of your flow. This also explains why the issue happens on some of your variables and not all. The ones that get populated during your flow will pass, the ones with the NULL value will fail. 

     

    If anyone is still battling with this you just need to set the default value on your boolean variable to what the value is on the current record triggering your flow.
