edit tasks that belong to others

I am the admin in our company, and I have sales users that would like to assign tasks to others on their team.  Once the task is completed, the person who assigned the task would like to go in and close it.

 

Is there a way I can allow my sales people to close and edit the tasks of others?

    What is the OWD setting for Activities? In general, if your Sales People are higher in the role than the user the task is assigned to, they can edit the task and change the status to completed.
