Gmail salesforce integration - advanced security settings

I am looking to integrate Gmail into salesforce. Following the step by step instructions in GSuite Admin - The Security section has no (zero) information for our GSuite Admin. The salesforce instructions say to click on Security, then Advanced Security.

 

Has anyone implemented Gmail to Salesforce integration and can assist me?

    Question:

    We are using the Salesforce Gmail integration (Salesforce Chrome Extension) and typically send emails from Gmail leveraging Salesforce email templates. While the email does correctly log to the associated Salesforce record, we are not able to see if the recipient opens the email.

    We want to ensure that emails sent from Gmail track email opens just like they do when emails are sent directly from Salesforce.

    • Is there a configuration or solution to enable email open tracking for Gmail-sent emails with the Salesforce Gmail plugin?
    • We already have DKIM settings and email relays configured, so emails appear to come from our domain.

    We are open to both native solutions and custom options.

    Has anyone faced this challenge and found a way to solve it?
