Standard Price Books - Opportunities

I have added new products by clicking "New" in the Products object and entered them.  Then I go to Opportunities to create a new opportunity and then add products.  However, the new Products that I have added are not appearing on the Product List.

 

I researched ot, and Salesforce says

 

"The standard price book is the master list of all your products and their default standard prices. Salesforce creates the standard price book when you start creating product records. It includes all your products and their standard prices regardless of any custom price books that include those products."

 

So I can't figure out why the new Products that I have added are not available to add to my Opportunity.  Need help!!

    Hi Dave Meixell,

     

    Please make sure that the new Product you have created is active. Also, add the product to Standard Price Book, Then only you can add a product to a custom price book(Custom Price book also need to be Active)

     

    Now, when you will add product under opportunities first choose price book under which your product lies. Then you will be able to add that product under opportunity.
