How to remove a field in setting up a new Case?

We are using the Professional edition.  When you setup a new Case, there is a radio button near the bottom of the page that asks "Send notification email to Contact."  How do you remove this from the page? It does not appear on the page layout, so I don't know how to remove.

Edit your page layout.

Then click on "Layout Properties" at the top of the table.

You'll see an option to show (or not) the email notification checkbox. Just uncheck it and don't forget to save the layout !
