Add a button/link to a custom object on the Home page

Question

I have a custom object that I want user to be able to Create a New record on from the Home page. The parent object is a HR file and I want to create a new leave request for the logged in user (Leave request is a child object of HR file)

I used a Custom Link to the URL of the page created when I hit New Request and it works lovely

Hi On Create New it only shows New HR File not new Leave request
