Question: Can I make my U2F Security Key my primary authentication option rather than my Salesforce Authenticator app while keeping both enabled?
I'm testing the use of a U2F Security Key with myself as the guinea pig. All permissions are properly set. I have enabled authentication for myself through BOTH Salesforce Authenticator and a Security Key. No problem.
My problem: with both authentication options enabled for myself, when I attempt to log in to Salesforce the splash screen (see below) directs me to my Salesforce Authenticator app and does not quickly provide an option to use my physical key. True, I can click "Having Trouble" and then click through some screens to get to my Security Key option but it's a hassle.
My Preference: I'd like to simple have the option from the log in splash screen to use my physical key OR my Salesforce Authenticator App. If I disconnect Salesforce Authenticator for myself, then the splash screen does give me the physical key option up front but I'd like both.
Thoughts? Am I expecting too much? Thanks - Todd
This is a huge issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. Yubi keys don't work on the mobile app for example, the user should get to choose the MFA method at the time of login if they have multiple authentication methods registered. Is there any update on this topic from Salesforce?
