It’s that time again! #TipTuesday coming to you LIVE from @Kaushik Ruparel (kaushforce@hilostudios.com)
Wave Choropleth Map Extensions aka Custom Maps aka BYOM (Bring Your Own Maps):
#Summer'16 brings World-Country and US-States Chorpleth maps out of the box. If your business needs a different granularity then it is easy to extend Wave maps by supplying custom boundary definitions. In this tip, we use mapshaper to convert a shapefile to GeoJSON and prepare it for Wave.
We will follow this up with more GeoJSON manipulation techniques to create custom territory/region maps using advanced mapshaper techniques.
Remember, custom maps are currently in pilot. So reach out to your Salesforce Account Executive to participate.
