I tried already to adjust the permission set and create a new org from scratch. Without success.  

I know that this issue has already been reported by many. Can you please let me know how to proceed? Thanks so much in advance.

    Having the same issue, it look like the agent does not have permissions to show/update cases and not even by granting permissions sets worked.
