Hi,

There can be multiple Quotes on one Opportunity, but only one of them could be marked as a Primary. It means that if we would create a new Quote with primary checked, it is being unchecked on previous primary Quote.

But we are running into multiple Primary Quote Issue on Renewal Opportunity.

The issue happens when owner of the previous primary Quote is different than the creator of the new Quote.

Basically, In our case the Previous Primary Quote is created via Automation on the Renewal Quoted field on Contract Object hence the Created by is Admin is this User created that WF.

Now, Sales Rep can create another Primary Quote on Renewal Opportunity .

Is there any way to fix this issue?

Thanks,

Hello Shraddha - apologies for the delay on this one.

The standard CPQ functionality actually does not allow having 2 primary Quotes at the same time.

In order to confirm that, I went into my CPQ developer edition (where there is no custom automation going on) and I've checked Renewal Quoted on one of the Contracts - for the result I expected, which is a Renewal Opportunity with a Primary Quote. When I created another Quote and marked it as Primary, the previous one was unchecked.

I've tried going back and forth within them, and at no point in time did Salesforce permit me to have 2 Primary Quotes on the same Renewal Oppty.

So considering this, I believe we could come up with some sort of validation rule on the Quote, to eventually not permit the Rep to create another one - but now the question remains : In your org, are you able to see two Primary Quotes at the same time on the same Oppty?
