So I've been working on creating a community for my companies employees which allows them to access and edit opportunities, leads, and etc. After countless hours I finally figured out how to create and manage a functioning community. So now I have a community set up, I then began to create profiles, and have added them to the community. The problem is I dont know to to assign passwords for said accounts. I cannot log into the community with any of the accounts. When I add profiles it sends the profiles email a message on their username but give no info on their password. This whole ordeal has been very troublsome and stressful for me so if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.

    I think you're grabbing the Profile ID instead of the User ID

     

    User IDs start with 005

     

    Profile IDs start with 00e

     

    If you go to Setup >> Administer >> Manage Users >> Users...you should be able to click on the Full Name of the User to open the User record and get the User ID
