Welcome to Basil & Thyme Cafe

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Set up and view your Pronto org.
  • Activate an agent and a prompt template in Agentforce Studio.

Grab Some Coffee

It’s still dark and chilly outside on a Sunday morning, but the Basil & Thyme Cafe kitchen is toasty and already buzzing with activity. Mixers whir. Oven timers beep. And racks of freshly baked breads, pastries, and desserts rattle into position for the brunch crowd that will start lining up outside in just a few hours. Astro, the owner of the Basil & Thyme, sits at a table sipping an espresso and leafing through upcoming orders for the next few weeks.

Business at the cafe is on the rise, and requests for special events are proving to be more common. One specific request jumped out at Astro. A nearby business, Upper Crust IT, is hosting a Trailheadathon—an event akin to a Hackathon where teams compete to achieve a common goal. The Trailheadathon is scheduled for the weekend after next, and its goal is for Upper Crust employees to use Trailhead to learn about new Agentforce products and features over 2 days. They’re requesting a special menu that includes sandwiches to fuel the teams throughout the event. “They’re great customers, so I donut see why we couldn’t do that.” Astro thinks, “It’s the yeast we can do.”

In this module, you help Astro and the bakery staff create a special menu for the Trailheadathon event with new sandwiches, a coupon to discount the menu items, and a gift certificate for the winning team.

Sign Up for a Pronto Org

You head into the office at the back of the cafe to sign up for a Pronto org. Pronto is the app where Astro uses employee agents to manage the Basil & Thyme Cafe storefront. You follow these steps to set up the org.

  1. Sign up for a special Pronto Developer Edition org.
Note

Note that this Developer Edition org is designed to work with the challenges in this badge, and will not work for other badges. A regular Trailhead Playground will not work with this content.

  1. Fill out the form:
    • For Email, enter an active email address.
    • For Username, enter a username that looks like an email address and is unique, but it doesn't need to be a valid email account (for example, somethingfunny@example.com).
  2. After you fill out the form, click Sign me up. A confirmation message appears.
  3. When you receive the activation email (this might take a few minutes), open it and click Verify Account.
  4. Complete your registration by setting your password and challenge question. Tip: Save your username, password, and login URL in a secure place—such as a password manager—for easy access later.
  5. You are logged in to your Developer Edition.

Now connect your new Developer Edition org to Trailhead.

  1. Make sure you’re logged in to your Trailhead account.
  2. In the Challenge section at the bottom of this page, click the org name and then click Connect Org.
  3. On the login screen, enter the username and password for the Developer Edition you just set up.
  4. On the Allow Access? screen, click Allow.
  5. On the Want to connect this org for hands-on challenges? screen, click Yes! Save it. You are redirected back to the challenge page and ready to use your new Developer Edition to earn this badge.

Enable Agentforce Studio

Now, let’s make sure Agentforce Studio is turned on in your org.

  1. Click setup and click Setup. The Setup page opens in a new tab.
  2. In the Quick Find box, search for and select Salesforce Go.
  3. In the Search features... textbox, enter and select Agentforce Studio.

  2. On the Agents tab, click Merchant Management Agent.
  3. Click Commit Version, then click Commit Version in the popup.
