Design the Consent Data Model for Marketing Subscription Consent

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:
- Establish and link the objects required for the communication subscription consent, segmented by brand.
- Create and configure Communication Subscription Channel Type records, Communication Subscription records, and Communication Subscription Consent records.
In the previous unit, you configured the core consent objects to manage global data processing consent. In this unit, you complete your consent data model by designing the granular, brand-specific marketing subscription consent for Cloud Kicks sub-brands.
Marketing consent management can be segmented by business brands to enable your customers to opt into specific content. The Business Brand object defines the different business brands for consent segmentation and brand asset management.
In this part of the challenge, you create three business brands: Kids Kicks, Sneakers Kicks, and Trail Kicks. Assume that Sofia Diaz has not interacted with the Trail Kicks brand, and that you do not have any explicit consent records created for this specific brand.
To complete this challenge, you must satisfy requirements in the Communication Subscription Setup and Communication Subscription Consent design areas.

Create Business Brand Objects and Communication Subscription Records
- In the App Launcher, search for and select Business Brands.
- Click New, and define these brands.
- Kids Kicks
- Sneakers Kicks
- Trail Kicks
- Kids Kicks
- In the App Launcher, search for and select Communication Subscriptions.
- Click New. The Communication Subscription object defines the specific newsletters or topics.
- Create two subscriptions for each of the three Cloud Kicks business brands using the information below. Associate all of the communication subscriptions with the data use purpose Marketing Communications.

Create Communication Subscription Channel Type Records for Email
- In the App Launcher, search for and select Communication Subscription Channel Types. The Communication Subscription Channel Type object links a communication subscription to a specific engagement channel type, such as email or SMS text message.
- Create a Communication Subscription Channel Type record for each of the six Communication Subscription records you previously created for a total of six new Communication Subscription Channel Type records.
- Associate all of them with the Email engagement channel type.
