What Does Amazon Bedrock Do?
Amazon Bedrock offers a choice of high-performing foundation models (FMs) from leading companies such as AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Stability AI, and Amazon through a single API. It couples these FMs with a broad set of capabilities you need to build generative AI applications.
Foundation models (FMs) are out-of-the-box artificial intelligence (AI) models available for use in Amazon Bedrock.
With Amazon Bedrock’s comprehensive capabilities, you can experiment with various FMs. Privately customize them with your data using techniques such as fine-tuning and retrieval augmented generation (RAG). And create managed agents that execute complex business tasks—all without writing any code.
Why Amazon Bedrock?
Amazon Bedrock lets you access and experiment with different FMs to create tailored AI solutions. Some key features of Amazon Bedrock are:
- Model customization to privately fine-tune FMs using proprietary labeled datasets.
- Amazon Bedrock Agents to analyze user requests and automatically call the necessary APIs and data sources to fulfill the requests.
- Amazon Bedrock Guardrails that help avoid sensitive topics within the context of your application. Guardrails detect and block user inputs and FM responses across restricted categories and issues such as hate speech, insults, violence, and so on.
- Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases to reduce the risk of generating inaccurate information by implementing RAG. RAG enhances language models to retrieve and use external knowledge during generation. This approach provides access to domain-specific knowledge beyond the model’s original training data.
