Being a Trailblazer means sharing and caring for the community. It means working not only for personal success but also for others, and looking at the bigger picture.
What is your favorite thing that you learned from Trailhead so far?
I found the MuleSoft Catalyst content to be very interesting. Companies tend to focus on technology when it comes to digital transformation, but it’s important to realize the kind of organizational changes that need to take place in order to see the agility and speed of IT delivery they’re looking for. MuleSoft Catalyst provides a methodology for this.
How do you participate in the Community?
I recently attended my first MuleSoft Meetup in Denver. It was great to meet other MuleSoft practitioners, from beginners to experts! It's amazing to be part of the MuleSoft and Trailblazer Communities—two awesome groups full of kind and intelligent people.
What interesting career opportunities have come your way because of your MuleSoft skills?
Besides learning an in demand and interesting skill, one thing people might not expect is that I've gotten the opportunity to become a public speaker. I spoke at Dreamforce 2018 where I introduced the Salesforce Community to DataWeave, MuleSoft’s language for doing data transformations. Since then, I’ve spoken at a few remote Meetups on more specific topics related to DataWeave.
What does being a Trailblazer mean to you?
It is an incredible experience with social responsibility. But it is a responsibility that you love! Being a Trailblazer means sharing and caring for the community. It means working not only for personal success but also for others, and looking at the bigger picture.
What would you say to someone considering learning on Trailhead?
I'd say check it out; it's free and easy to sign up with a social media account, email address, or Salesforce account if you already have one. Try one of the more basic badges first and give yourself the chance to learn some great skills, whether they're soft skills or technical skills. Just go for it!

It’s time to start your own story.
