Build on the Trusted Foundation of Data 360

Learning Objectives:

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain how Data 360 gives every agent a single, trusted view of your business.
  • Connect the quality of your data directly to the reliability of your agents.
  • Describe what it takes to turn scattered information into context an agent can actually use.

The Knowledge That Never Made It into a System

A huge amount of what makes your business run doesn’t live in a tidy database. The context behind a decision, the history of a customer relationship, the institutional memory of how things actually get done. These things live in Slack channels, email threads, meeting notes, and documents no one ever formalized. Data 360 brings that untapped knowledge together with your structured systems—CRM records, back-office data—into one real-time, trusted view. This gives humans and agents a far more complete picture of the business than any single source could provide on its own.

And it does this without moving anything. Most attempts to unify data hit the same wall. To bring information together, you first have to copy it—pulling records out of the systems that created them and into a new one. But every copy is a new place for that data to go stale, get exposed, or drift out of sync with the original. Multiply that across a dozen systems, and “unified data” quietly becomes a maintenance problem of its own.

Data 360 is built differently, on what’s called a zero-copy architecture. Instead of duplicating your data into yet another silo, it reaches into your systems and accesses the information right where it already lives. Nothing moves, nothing gets copied, nothing has two versions that can quietly disagree with each other. The permissions and governance rules attached to that data in its original system travel with it, instead of being reinvented—or forgotten—in a new one. The result is a single trusted view built on data that never left home.

Think of it like asking a new hire to answer a customer’s question by only reading one file in one cabinet, when the real answer is scattered across five cabinets, three inboxes, and a coworker’s memory. Data 360 is what hands the agent every relevant, organized cabinet at once, instead of leaving it to guess from a single drawer.

Why Confidence Isn’t the Same as Being Right

Here’s the uncomfortable truth about AI: a model without context doesn’t know when it’s wrong. It reasons just as fluently either way, producing a confident, well-formed answer whether or not the underlying data actually supports it. That confidence is the real risk—a plausible guess reads exactly like a fact until someone checks it.

Trusted context is what closes that gap. It comes from three things happening continuously, not once.

  • Unlocking data wherever it lives, so nothing has to move before it’s useful
  • Establishing real trust in that data—quality, lineage, and harmonizing inconsistent records into one profile instead of five conflicting ones
  • Activating that context so agents can draw on it the instant they need it, not after a report gets pulled

Skip Data 360, and every layer above it inherits the gap. Agents reason over holes instead of context, workflows run on incomplete inputs, and even the best interface just delivers a bad answer faster. Get this layer right, and everything built on top of it gets smarter too—because it’s finally reasoning from something real.
