Publish and Review Your Workflow
Learning Objectives
After completing this unit, youโll be able to:
- Explain the steps to publish a completed page to the live storefront.
- Describe how pages are shared across multiple sites in an organization.
- Summarize the full Page Designer workflow from page creation to publication.
Set the Stage for Launch
Youโve scheduled, localized in three languages, and targeted your VIP customer group for Thursdayโs summer sale landing page preview window. All the pieces are in place.
Youโve covered the entire Page Designer workflow in this badgeโyou understand how developer dependency impacts merchandising teams, and you can build pages, set targeting rules, and extend your content to global markets. One step remains.
In this unit, you publish the page and review the full workflow.
Publish a Page
When youโre satisfied with how the page looks, select Publish from the visual editor to make it available online.

What happens next depends on whether you set a schedule in targeting.
Publish Scenario |
What Happens |
|---|---|
No schedule set |
The page goes live immediately. It stays up until you unpublish it or set an expiration date in targeting. |
Schedule set in targeting |
The page is published but stays hidden from shoppers until the scheduled start date and time. It disappears automatically at the scheduled end date. |
When you create a page, itโs automatically shared with all sites in an unpublished mode via the Shared Library. The Published or Unpublished Status is separate for each site and requires manual adjustment.
Verify the Live Page After Publishing
After publishing, confirm everything works.
-
Verify the URL. Confirm that the page appears correctly on the live storefront.
-
Check targeting. Open the page in the visual editor and select the Preview icon. Set the customer group and date to match your targeting conditions and confirm that the right content appears for the right audience.
-
Confirm the schedule. If the page has a visibility window, verify that the start date is active and the page is visible or appropriately hidden, based on the current date and time.
-
Check publication status. For multisite deployments, confirm the published status on each site separately.
Review Content Blocks Usage
After you publish pages that use content blocks, review where content blocks are used across your storefront.
- In Business Manager, select App Launcher.
- Select Merchant Tools | Content | Content Blocks.
- Select the content block.
- Select the Usage tab.
- View all pages and regions where the content block is assigned.
