Hello,
I am relatively new to the Forecasting section of Salesforce. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to make the Forecast Category picklist field an editable field on an Opportunity Record, or if it can only be linked directly to opportunity stage and un-editable. My CEO would like the opportunity owners to be able to manually update from the picklist should the opportunity stage not align with the predetermined Forecast Category stage. My current research indicates this might not be possible, and it seems like the manual edit might get overridden anyway when the opportunity progresses to the next stage, but I wanted to check here and see if anyone has any experience with this.
PS. In my org we use custom Picklist Fields for "Confidence %" and "Forecast"
