All I really need to do is create a dashboard that has two entirely different SQL statements producing two unrelated sets of results. I'm on Tableau 10.0 but can't figure out how to do that. If I add a second SQL, Tableau wants me to join it to my first one. If I create a second datasource that doesn't help either. What am I not seeing?

All you need to do create the first one and go to Sheet1 then Data->New Data Source to start the process over for the second SQL statement.
