Why doesn't my dashboard fill the screen when viewed on the Tableau Public site?

I've created dashboards that are sized to fit a laptop screen (1920 x 1080) and, when viewed in full-screen mode in the Tableau Public app or in Tableau Reader, it fills up the whole screen. But when I view it on the Tableau Public site in full-screen mode, it doesn't fill the screen. How can I fix that?
