Good afternoon, what is the purpose of the optimization profile? Is there a standard way for a service appointment to automatically switch from scheduled to dispatch? Thank you very much.

The optimization profile will be used by standard optimizer, if you don't use the ESO. If you just want to change the status of a SA, you can setup auto-dispatch job in field service settings tab or you could use the drip feed feature. Depends on your business requirements. Drip feeds can be setup via field service settings tab as well and dispatches the next number of service appointments automatically, whereas the auto-dispatch job changes the status of a whole territory - in short.
