Unable to create new contact. A required field is not present.

Question

I'm a brand new Trailblazer completing "Grow Your Business with Salesforce Foundations" module. Looks like a required field [Loan_Amount_c] isn't present when I try to create a new contact. Anyone know a way around this?

Hey, seems like the Loan Amount field is required on your object. Make sure you add that to the page layout if you want to save the record successfully OR if you don't need this field for creating the record, mark this field as not required from the object manager

Thanks Agaypreet, you are correct that the Loan Amount field was required. I was unable to add it to the page layout though... However, seeing this I tried the "New Case" button which allowed me to create a case for a new contact. When adding a new contact that way I could see all the fields including Loan Amount. Thank you so much for your response that allowed me to complete the task. 😊
