So here's a weird Access question that I need help with. My question is this: how can you get denied access despite having 'View All Data' Permission?
Situation: I'm working with a group, the Account Executives (AE's) have their own Dashboard and Reports. Their Dashboard and Reports shows their goals, forecasts, quotas, progress, etc, etc. I'm doing some Over-the-Shoulder (OTS) support, I can see their Dashboards, they click through to get their reports; I answer questions, takes notes, etc.
When I get to my workstation, log in with my profile, I look at their Dashboards which is visible to me, I can see charts, etc. I click through to see their reports and...nothing.
The report is blank: '0 Records'. I know that's not right because it feeds data to the dashboard, I can view data in the dashboard, and I just saw the report when I was doing OTS support. That means I don't have ACCESS to view their report. But I already have 'VIEW ALL DATA' permission. So, something is still blocking me from seeing the report.
Is this a private folder? Private group? Org Wide Defaults (OWD) are set to private, but that shouldn't matter because I have 'View All Data'. It is NOT restriction rules because that is not enabled for the org (yet).
Anyone run across this or has the same thing happen to you?
Might want to double check the filters when you open the report, ive seen it sometimes automatically set to the dynamic “My Opportunities” type filter.
