We are building out the groups on our site and hit a snag.

We want to present an entirely customized group experience for people who have purchased a premium membership and gained access to a private group.  In this private group, we have links, files, resources, etc that are not available to other group members.  And, the stakeholders want this information to be presented in a very particular way.

Naturally, I would consider a Page Variation to deliver some special.

However, using Audience Builder, we do not see a full list of Record-based objects to design the criteria.  It only presents certain standard objects; I do not see anything that looks like a group object.  And, I cannot create a criteria using the generic "Name" field on the Object to trigger this audience rule based on Group Name.

Any ideas for how we could use the native Group Detail object page?  We really didn't want to go down the path of spinning up a Custom Flexible Page with group components that need hard-coded references back to the record id of the premium membership group.  Yes, that workaround would "work", but all of the native Salesforce Components will sometimes provide system-generated links back to the Group Detail object page (not our custom flexible page).

@Manish Aggarwal - I considered the Record Type approach!  When I looked for that option under the audience criteria, it showed nothing for Record > Group.  I presumed it wasn't supported because it wasn't on the list.

HOWEVER, the article has a helpful note, "Groups will only display in the list of Records after you have created your first Group Record Type."

    There's my answer!
