Thanks to everyone who attended last weeks EMEA Winter 18 Release webinar. We had some great questions which we promised to answer so I've listed them below:

• Can you turn off the 'tick box email' option if you want to? (Email list view)
  • Yes - Mass email user permissions are required for this feature.
• Is this functionality available in Classic?
  • 'List Email' where you can select recipients and work on the fly as shown in the demo, is only available in Lightning. Mass email is an option available in Classic, but it doesn't offer so much flexibility or choice.
• How complex is it to change from Classic to Lightning?
  • This is one of these questions that is totally dependent on how you are using Classic and what your users expect. The change itself is simple - it's easily done, but you need to consider how you will roll it out to your users (eg. a small pilot group - or switch it on en masse for everybody). To consider your transition I'd start with the Lightning Trailhead module http://sforce.co/2t3BNA8 and I cannot recommend enough using the Lightning Experience Readiness checker (go to Setup - search Lightning and you will be prompted). This will generate a report of any or all of your installed packages, reports etc and how they will run in LEX and will flag up anything needing attention.
• Can you now add a photo image in contacts which then carries forward to Trailhead...?
  • Do you mean to a User Profile and then carry across to Trailhead, or a Contact record? You can add a photo to a contact record http://sforce.co/2BBDHf3 but it doesn't transfer to a Trailhead profile.
• Could the HEDA Contact Merge function be rolled out to the NPSP?
  • NPSP already has Contact Merge - see this Hub article for further details http://bit.ly/2CzizCW
