OK - So I have been working through the transition since the webinar series. Have some questions:

1) We never converted from one to one to household model because I couldn't figure out how to do it. See some things that require household model to be working. Help - I didn't understand this a long time ago when this changed and to change over now???

2) We used the Account for the company names but as I attempted to convert a few names to Primary affiliation, when I go to the company/account name, I don't see individuals listed as being a contact within a company. What am I missing or doing wrong?

3) Solutions - Case managers use this to send info to people through SF email. For example a list of day programs solution can be selected and it automatically populates the email and can be edited for families based on where they live. What is the "solution" to this dilemma - someone said to convert to knowledge base, but then you cannot adapt on the fly.

4) We have a lot of email templates in Classic. But they don't work in Lightning. How do I convert them or what do we do?

Help - I know these are lots of items on a list, but figure it you can guide me through one step at a time that will help this transition. OR tell me where to find answers in plain english. :)

thanks so much!

Hi @Mary Jane Williams you have a few questions, so let's see if we can tackle them one at a time. Here are the brief answers:>

    1. There are lots of good reasons to convert to the Household Account model, but 1:1 should work fine in Lightning for the most part. One exception is that the Account View override does not work, so users will not be redirected back to the Contact when they click on the Account name. You'll need to train users to always edit 1:1 accounts from the Contact record. If you want to talk more about the HH account conversion process it would probably make sense to start another thread because that's a big topic in and of itself.
    2. You may need to add the Affiliated Contact related list to your Account page layout to see the associated contacts.
    3. Solutions are not supported in Lightning Experience. Your users can switch back to Classic or you can consider migrating to Lightning Knowledge. Here's some info on Lightning Knowledge.
    4. You should be able to access your Classic email templates in Lighting. In time, you may want to review your templates, and recreate those that you use frequently in Lightning Experience.
