Looking to implement Address verification in our Org... I see lots of hints that there are free Address Verification services, but looking to see if folks here have implemented and have any preferences?
@Nonprofit Success Pack@Salesforce.org System Administrators@Leslie Cox - you're talking about the Verification API Account Settings under Nonprofit Success Pack Settings | People | Addresses, where the options are Cicero, the Goolge Geocoding API, and SmartyStreets, right?
I cringe to tempt fate by saying that something is working, but we <knock wood> have had great results with SmartyStreets.
As I said above, I first tried Google, but it didn't work well for us (that was last year, so it may work fine now). I had seen several complaints about SmartyStreets, saying that they (the company) should be avoided because they had refused service to organizations that dealt with gay rights, so I contacted SmartyStreets and asked them about it. I don't recall their exact response, and I've purged my email since then, but I was satisfied that they are not the axis of evil as some people had claimed, and I've had nothing but good experiences with them. In fact, they gave us an upgraded service for the first year at no charge to allow us to validate all the old, crappy legacy addresses we had all at once, rather than having to stay within whatever their free monthly limits are.
(That being said, now the validation will probably break as soon as I hit the Answer button.)
