It is with great pleasure that the Foundation Technology & Products team announces the publication of our first Foundation workbook. The workbook is designed for that all too familiar person we all know and love -- the nonprofit office manager/administrator/development director who wants to learn Salesforce but can never find the time to sit down and figure it out. No previous experience with Salesforce is required to complete this workbook. Anyone with a computer and a little patience can do it.

This workbook took a village, namely:

@Sabine Bennett, @Teresa Mulvihill Talbot, @Mark Leonard, @Kathy Ellis, @Kimberley Rathbun, and Michael Hoban . . . all seasoned writers from

salesforce.com

who took time out of their busy days to help us compile and test this content.

And . . . drum roll please . . .

The one and only @Marc Baizman, who is largely responsible for the workbook's step-by-step tutorials, and nearly every one of the book's beautiful screen shots.

(Also, @Brian Pickett . . . you might notice some familiar phrases in the Households tutorial. We stole them from you -- sorry.)

We will continue to iterate on this workbook, but for now we hope you enjoy this version. If you have comments, please do send them along to me (via email). I'll be keeping a running list of all the things we'd like to include in version 2.

To call this a big deal is an understatement. This starter guide to the NPSP is another key investment by the Foundation in ensuring that our community of accidental techies can be further empowered by the tools we're all working together to provide them. Another push of the needle in the direction of social justice. Well done @Jon Michael Varese @Marc Baizman and everyone else who contributed to this.
