Friends, what can I say?  Thank you to all of you have supported the fast-growing movement of NPSP Days across North America.  Our goal at Soapbox Engage has been to bring together NPSP community members for a dedicated day of learning, sharing, and networking.  Tomorrow, this crazy soon-to-be-global community-driven movement starts in Phoenix, hosted by the awesome @Crystal Mathews and the Sputnik Moment crew.  I'm just in awe of what they have put together for the event.  I wish everyone reading this could be here tomorrow.  Of course, that would mean we'd need to change venues for a second time, since we keep outgrowing the locations due to community demand.

Don't worry, you'll see me live-blogging, tweeting (follow the #NPSPDay hashtag), Facebooking, and Power of Us-ing this event.

This event will be the epitome of folks knocking down the proverbial walls that separate our organizations to converge together for the ultimate betterment of the communities we serve.  In exchange, attendees will leave empowered to leverage the NPSP to aid their own professional development and learn about opportunities they can give back to our open source project.

In short, this is what community looks like.

It's about creating empowered contributors of all kinds.  Contributions should not be defined solely by code, documentation, or other traditional technological terms.  It's about contributing lessons learned, knowledge, energy, feedback, and more, and passing them on to the next newbie coming up the same ladder you rose.

So yeah, it's going to be awesome.  Did I say I was excited?

Here goes...everything!
