Quick question, We have SSO configured between Salesforce and ADFS where ADFS is the identity provider. We have uploaded the AD metadata at the time configuring the sso in Salesforce and also added the cert. Is there a way Salesforce can refresh the AD metadata automatically as well as the certificate or this is something we have to do it manually every time.

@Christian Eichhorn is right: there's no automatic configuration update. If you change ADFS settings, you need to update Salesforce accordingly.
