Hi,

Does changing or converting the field type of a custom Pardot field from a checkbox into a radio button have impact on data?

I have trouble synhronizing Checkboxes in Pardot to Checkboxes in Salesforce. This knowlegde article explains that I need a Radio-button: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000314512&language=en_US&type=1&mode=1 (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000314512&language=en_US&type=1&mode=1" style="color:blue; text-decoration:underline)

It does not tell me what to do in a situation where the field already exists

I know that for Salesforce a lot of documentation is written for changing field types.

However, I could not find any information on what happens if I convert a custom Pardot field from a checkbox into a radio button. Does it affect the data of existing Prospects? Do I need to take certain steps to prevent data loss?

Please let me know.

Regards,

Peter

    Hi Peter,

As per the Knowledge, Pardot checkboxes are multi-selects that means you can select multiple values and radio buttons are multi-option that means you can select. If you convert the checkbox to the radio button you will lose the data.

I hope this helps or drive me with more details on this case.
