My users are interested in enabling sync between Salesforce and Office 365.
I've seen that we can use OAuth 2.0 ( https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=lightning_sync_admin_exch_connect_w_oauth.htm&type=5 ) but asking for a global administration account and not saying what's being done is a bit to much for my CISO to accept the change.
Does someone know what's being added/created in Office 365 with this action and what Salesforce can access then ?

Fabio, did you ever get a more clear answer to this? i totally agree with you and my Global Admin to 365 will ask many questions. I find it unacceptable that SF doesnt explain whats actually happening here to give some sort of clear msg what is needed by GLobal Admin to login.
