I have a field called "measure description" that I'm trying to make visible for a profile. The related list or object (I'm not sure what one it is) is called "participation". The user does have visibility to 2 fields in "participation" on their actual page but not the field called "measure description". I made a permission set & set field level security to read "measure description" but it still doesn’t display. When I go to the contact page layout, "measure description" is an option in the available fields to add to the page layout but "participation" doesn’t exist on the page layout? There are other options under "related lists" where I would expect to see "participations" but it doesn’t exist. For example, under the "related lists" section on the contact page layout I see cases, campaign history, open activities, notes & attachments but no participations to add my "measure description" field to.If this didnt make sense and you need additional info let me know. Thank you!

I was able to figure it out but thank you Saifullah for your response. It helped me look further into my steps. The additional process I took to make this work is below:

    This is for Salesforce Classic.

Participation is a custom object & my Measure Description field is a custom field. I ended up searching objects in set up -> clicked on objects under create -> clicked on Participation -> then the field I am trying to make visible. Here I was able to set field level security for that profile. I thought I did it before but I guess not. This automatically made the field visible for those users who could not see it before.
