We have a Lightning Activity report that is supposed to show all incomplete tasks assigned to a particular user that will come due in the next two weeks. When viewing as the user in question, or as the System Administrator, the value the Show Me filter is "All activities". When logged in as a subbordinate role (Litigation), the Show Me filter changes to "All activities under role: Litigation". No records show up when that is selected.

 

Users can get passed this issue by changing the filtering criteria to the role above them, but this is an extra step that we have to instruct them to do. How can we set it so that the filtering criteria is not set dynamically?

    It sounds like your report is filtered by role. Just remove it:
