How do I change the layout of Tasks in lightning app builder

How can I add the Comments (or any other field or custom field) in the Task (or any other Activity) that usually goes right on the Lightning Record Page.

Ah, got it - according to this article: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=compact_layout_overview.htm&type=0

"Compact layouts support all field types except:

text area

long text area

rich text area

multi-select picklist"

The standard Comments field is a long text area, so it would not appear in the compact layout.

To add fields to Tasks, you'll need to go to Setup -> Object Manager -> Activity and add the new field there. Then you'll need to add that field to the Task page layout.
