We're looking at options on how to get our data in and out of SalesForce, to/from an in-house SQL Server database.
Looking at the options on the appExchange I've done some initial digging on Jitterbit, Informatica and Cast Iron.
I thought Jitterbit would be decent fit for our budget, but I am hitting some blockers with my Tech Risk department on why they are using a cloud platform to orchestrate the integrations (even if you have local agents, meta data is still stored in their cloud).
Informatica appears to provide a wholly on-premises option, but they are prohibitively expensive for our project budget.
Anyone got other experience? Financial institution, so security is our priority.
Thanks

Hi BU,
I've used another, smaller, solution called Pervasive (http://integration.pervasive.com/Products/Connectivity.aspx). Completely on-premis and it was significantly less expensive (for our needs) than the bigger players. We had a gentleman named Mark Warren from CPSG Partners setup the integration between an online ERP and SFDC. Mark was fantastic to work with. It's been a few years, but the last email address I had for him was mwarren@2020companies.com (mailto:mwarren@2020companies.com?subject=SFDC%20Integration&body=Hi%20Mark%2C%0ABenjamin%20Bolopue%20from%20Quanex%20Building%20Products%20pointed%20me%20to%20you%20regarding%20the%20work%20you%20did%20together%20in%202013%20regarding%20their%20online%20ERP%20integration%20with%20Salesforce.com.).
Mark doesn't work for Pervasive, but has extensive experience with the solution.
Might be worth a look.
Good luck!
Thanks,
Ben
