Solution to add detail fields to uploaded documents

Question

I need a solution to code detail fields to uploaded documents (document type, contract, proposal, change order, etc) document status (unsigned, approved, final signed). Is there an app or somethng within SF that I could leverage for this? I need this for my workflows. Ex. a document to this project has been uploaded with a type of contract and a status of final signed. This would then finish tasks and create next tasks.

Hello Matthew, please check out DocVaz on Appexchange. if you want to update a field when a file is uploaded, you can define the process using DocVaz. It is possible to define processes to update fields whenever a file is uploaded and can be extended to many objects.
