We were wondering if it is even possible to use a different approach than the standard and very static stage by stage sales process approach?
We would rather have a more "sales process interaction flow map" design where simulatinous multiple steps can happen at the same time with multiple streams and maybe at one stream you are already much further ahead than at another stream. also to more use kind of a green, amber, red system and % of touchpoint complete to track progress and sales cycle maturity rather the stages.
E.g. see here (this is a paid app);
something like this we would like to use to track maturity of oppty;
maybe there is something similiar for free out there or maybe someone knows how to customize SF to achieve something similiar.

ok thanks. But out of the box ->stages are the only thing how you can visuale the sales cylce, right?
Also do you might know a basic add-on(app) which would improve, support a differnt UI?
