Bob Delaney ha fatto una domanda in #Sales And Marketing
Hi All,

New to SFDC from a admin perspective and looked at Campaigns (I have professional Edition).. We do nto use the Leads module as our customer base is well defined in Accounts/Contacts

I am at a loss to the value here in Campaigns.  I do not care about ROI.  You can't

1. Export the list of contacts form a campaign you are targeting- you have to run a report. (Verified with SFDC)

2. Actually launch a campaign (e.g. send mass email)- you have to manually track responses.  In lookign around appears SFDC wants $1000/month for the marketing package.

Questions:

1. Am I missing something on ability to actually send emails

2. Any recommended 3rd party app integrations that ar preferable free (Constant Contact-MailChimp etc)

Thanks!

Campaigns are a way to track how marketing activities impact your Sales Pipeline. This means things like Campaign ROI (because most companies have a set marketing budget that they want to optimize), Lead Conversion (because most sales teams need to qualify their new business), and to track how and when people are engaging with your company.

A lot of companies will do their mass mailing from a separate system because mass mailing uses different technology on the backend to optimize for deliverability/spam/etc. When these things are done, a Campaign in Salesforce is a repository for that data so that you can see what the actual use of those activities are on your sales.
