Hello SF Trailblazer Community,

I recently came across a situation where I see the desired outcome on Salesforce Mobile (iOS) but I don't see it on my main web-version / Salesforce Classic. It's a relatively simple situation -- I have a custom object, and when a user is on the custom object's record page, clicks on a button to create a new record type of a different custom object, it should pull the associated Account Name in the designated field.

I found the following Known Issue, and see that it has been fixed (https://success.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p3A0000018AsJQAU&title=predefined-valute-for-account-name-does-not-populate-when-creating-an-order-record-via-an-action-from-any-object), but I wonder if I am doing something wrong that it does not show up on my web / Salesforce classic instance.

I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. My team is not yet ready to convert to Lightning Experience.

    Hi Max,

Are you using a custom button or custom action for this? Did you use URL hack or Javascript action to create the new record and pass the parameters? Can you post the code you used so we can check what may be the issue?

    Thanks!
